Pool Operations Update
Brighton Crossings Metro District would like to provide residents with an update regarding pool operations.
The activity pool is OPEN!
Lap Pool
Unfortunately, the lap pool closure is the result of a preventable incident. A resident brought a glass bottle onto the pool deck, and it was broken, which is strictly prohibited under the community's pool rules.
This serves as an important reminder that glass containers of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the pool deck. This rule exists for the safety of all residents and guests. If glass breaks in or around the pool, the consequences are significant. Even tiny fragments of glass can pose a serious safety hazard, requiring the pool to be closed immediately.
As a result of this incident, the lap pool must be:
- Completely drained
- Professionally inspected and cleaned
- Refilled with water
- Chemically balanced and tested before it can safely reopen
This process requires several days to complete and results in unplanned maintenance costs that are ultimately borne by the District and its homeowners.
At this time, we are hopeful the lap pool will reopen by this weekend, assuming repairs and water chemistry proceed as expected. We will continue to keep the community informed as updates become available.
We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation during this process. We also ask all residents to help us protect these amenities by following the posted pool rules, particularly the prohibition on glass containers. By working together, we can help ensure the facilities remain safe, enjoyable, and available for everyone throughout the summer.
Thank you for your understanding.
